Victory Christian Academy
The Victory Christian Academy was founded by Pastor Anthony Seaton, a minister of twenty three years with a Masters in Counseling, and his wife Barbara Seaton, a ten-year veteran teacher of learning disabled children at the Middle Country School District and ten-year home educator of her own children.
Through the years, we watched as the moral standards and academic quality of the public schools deteriorated. Godly teaching was eliminated more and more, and biblical truths were replaced with doctrines of secular humanism. Webster's new Collegiate Dictionary defines secularism as the "rejection or exclusion of religion or religious considerations." This means curriculum's without God in our schools. Thus Atheism; the belief that there is no God, in the disguise of Secular Humanism, has become the religion of the public schools. God gave Pastor Seaton a vision for a school where godly principles, moral character, self-discipline, individual responsibility, personal integrity, and good citizenship would be the basis and the goal for education. In September 1996, this work began, using the School of Tomorrow curriculum.
The object of Victory Christian Academy is to obey the spiritual imperative of Deuteronomy 6:5-7a " Love the Lord thy God with all thine heart and with all thy soul and with all thy might. And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shall teach them diligently unto thy children..." and of proverb 22:6 to " Train up a child in THE WAY he SHOULD go ". Teaching is training. Training for life must include training for eternity.
Victory Christian Academy is an extension of the Christian home in training young people in a Christian environment for time and eternity. The school staff works closely with parents to train the whole child.
The Goal of this school is not to reform, but to train Christian youth of every ability in the highest principles of Christian leadership, self-discipline, individual responsibility, personal integrity and good citizenship.
